Without the generosity of time and spirit of our incredible team of volunteers, Friends of Forgotten Children would not exist.
Because of our volunteers, we are able to continue to serve the needs of at-risk and low-income families and individuals in the greater Concord area. The need in our region is great and growing every day.
Are you seeking a flexible, friendly, and rewarding volunteer opportunity to lend a hand in your community? FOFC is the ideal organization for you!
Every week, we successfully distribute enough food to provide over 4,000 meals to assist members of our community in need. Volunteer opportunities are diverse and include hands-on work, administrative duties, unloading food delivery trucks, and more.

Office – Interview clients, fill out new client paperwork, answer phones, entering information into the pantry computer program, filling out orders.
Pantry – Filling food pantry orders for clients by packing them in boxes and/or bags.
Loading/Unloading – Assisting with picking up and loading/unloading donations/food orders (typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Donations/Clothing Closet – Assisting with loading/unloading donations, sorting clothing (& other donated items). Sorting and storing clothes, shoes, & other items by size & type.
Drivers – Pickup and deliver food pantry orders and donations to and from the FOFC facility.
Janitorial –Sweeping, vacuuming, disinfecting & wiping down tables and other surfaces (light housekeeping).
Maintenance – Washing floors, trash pickup, recycling, janitorial, grounds maintenance, & other odd jobs.
Handyman/woman – Repairs, building, organizing – small projects only.
The Backpack Program – Counting, sorting, and bagging meals for students Tuesdays from 10am - 12pm.
